Abstract

Academic research enables innovative reflections and solutions, and it is of great importance that they dialogue with social life, whether to observe existing demands or to apply their products. One of the links is between the academic environment and the professional environment in the connection between professional skills and scientific research. This study analyzes the production of a journal of a scientific and training nature, focusing on the integration between theory and practice in the educational context of a municipal education network. To this end, Minayo's Thematic Analysis (2008) is used, the study is based on the theories of Kuhn (2011) and Latour (2000) on scientific advancement and the importance of the link between research and professional practice, as recommended by UNESCO (2010). The article highlights the relevance of the connection between research and practice and the application of this conception, exemplified by the Revista Veredas of the Municipal Secretariat of Education of Curitiba, investigating its evaluation system and actions aimed at this purpose.
