Abstract

This article aims to discuss the impacts of Digital Colonialism on women's education. Throughout the work, the recognition of women's right to education is addressed, and how the lack of this recognition, as well as the way it presents itself, constitute facets of the colonization process and colonialities. It is essential to promote education initiatives in decolonial human rights, confronting and resisting colonialism. Taking on a new face of the same historical process, Digital Colonialism needs to be debated and faced, as it applies, in the virtual environment, the same oppressions as classic colonialism. It is concluded that digital colonialism is a new stage in the production and reproduction process of the capitalist system, directly affecting black and poor women. Therefore, initiatives to organize human rights education proposals from decolonial feminist perspectives are urgently needed, also in the virtual environment.
