Abstract

This article aims to analyze the effects of neoliberalism on pedagogical practices in which games in the technological environment are present and the constitution of certain ways of being a Mathematics teacher in an infocratic society of seduction. As theoretical contributions, it is based on post-critical discussions about neoliberalism and Byung-Chul Han's concept of infocracy. A qualitative bibliographical approach was used. The materials analyzed were 24 scientific articles or complete expanded summaries in the public domain, available in the electronic proceedings of the ANPEd national meetings between the years 2000 and 2021, in the form of work or poster, in GT 19 – Mathematics Education. The analytical strategy put into operation was inspired by Michel Foucault's discourse analysis. Through observation of the recurrences found, it was possible to identify that the teacher of the infocratic society of seduction can be seen as an information manager, that is, responsible for detailed research work, capturing all the details of the students, from their knowledge of the discipline up to your desires. In this sense, it was understood that there is a correlation between teaching practice and State governance practices, united to produce subjects suitable for contemporary neoliberal society through the exploration of information, capture of attention and modulation of memory – a context in which games present themselves as a fortuitous possibility for carrying out this purpose.
