Municipal management of the rural school in Londrina/PR (1949-1992)

Abstract

The objective is to understand the management actions of the municipality of Londrina, Paraná, aimed at rural schooling and undertaken by executive power bodies (1949-1992). The research was documentary, using historical records as a source (minutes, photographs, reports, terms of visit) of municipal education management activities. For the analysis, the historiographic category pedagogical municipality proposed by Justino Pereira de Magalhães, Wenceslau Gonçalves Neto and interlocutors was used. As a result, the rural school in Londrina, throughout the historical process, was managed by three bodies of local executive power: Department of Public Education and Social Assistance (Depas), Municipal Secretariat of Education and Culture (SMEC) and Municipal Secretariat of Education (SME) and the actions were focused on pedagogy, teaching behavior, training of rural subjects and educational policies on local, regional and national scales.
