Abstract

This article has as reference one chapter of a Master’s thesis in Education (2021). The aim is to prove how the gramscian thought may assist in understanding the process and implications of producing Fake News in the contemporary world, and to understand the following Gramsci requirement: we need a school connected to the life (GRAMSCI, 1991). To then analyze a possible way to 21st century education, towards the subjects formation to a reality permeated with false speeches, which seek to create a false awareness of reality. The methodological path of research is guide by hermeneutics that help us to understand the narratives in their sayings and silence, which produce a conception of the world, from a relationship goes beyond time approaching a current discussion with Antonio Gramsci’s thought. Thus, the theoretical contribution focuses on three great intellectuals who dialogue: Gramsci (1991 e 2000), Freire (1979; 1986 e 2019) and Martín-Barbero (2014).  We concluded with this paper that it is urgent to reflect and debate deeply what permeates the production of Fake News and the direct impacts on the formation of subjects, which is constantly with false speeches about reality. In addition to the need to introduce educommunicative practices, both in formal and informal education.
