Abstract

Introduction: The movement of academic journals to the Internet has resulted in the proliferation of new approaches to publishing, where the subscription model is no longer predominant. The game of interests practiced to publish in publishing houses and scientific associations is now making room for free publication by universities, bringing savings and increasing the dissemination of scientific production in the academic environment, seeking to share good practices between institutions.  It is therefore essential that publications follow the innovations and good practices of scientific publishing. Objective: To present the good editorial practices used at RIESUP. Methodology: The research is characterized as a case study complemented by a descriptive analysis of the good practices implemented in the editorial flow of a scientific journal, created in July 2015. Results: As a result, we obtained the editorial advances achieved by the journal over almost 10 years of existence, increasingly improving and keeping pace with innovations in the field of scientific publishing. Conclusion: With this, we hope that RIESUP can increasingly achieve the editorial quality it aims for with inclusion in the world's best indexers, due to its insistence and perseverance in scientific publishing, and by sharing its good practices with anyone who expresses an interest.
