Os impactos ambientais da pandemia de Covid-19 e seus reflexos na saúde e na economia

A pandemia de Covid-19 exigiu medidas sanitárias extremas para a contenção da transmissão do vírus, como o isolamento social ou lockdown, adotado em muitos países nos momentos de surto. Tais medidas restritivas modificaram totalmente a vida das pessoas em todo o planeta, afetando o meio ambiente e a economia global. Nesse trabalho, realizamos uma revisão sistemática da literatura com o objetivo de mapear os impactos ambientais e econômicos da pandemia. Nossos resultados mostram que o isolamento social teve um efeito positivo sobre o meio ambiente, principalmente no que se refere à melhoria da qualidade do ar com a redução das emissões de gases poluentes pelas indústrias e veículos. As mudanças ambientais observadas se refletiram na economia e na saúde da população, trazendo importantes reflexões sobre os efeitos das nossas atividades sobre o planeta e as estratégias possíveis de combate à degradação ambiental, mas preservando a economia visando o cumprimento dos Objetivos do Desenvolvimento Sustentável (ODS) constantes da Agenda 2030.
