Abstract

This communication intended to establish a connection between Environmental Education and Lipman’s P4C Program, as a specific aspect of Philosophy of Education. For that matter, the analysis of Higher Order Thinking as P4C foundations was thus pursued, i.e. a complex kind of thinking that combined Critical, Creative and Caring Thinking at the realm of Doing Philosophy with Chidren and Youth. That is the backdrop against which ECO_DIALOGUE project emerged as an attempt to create new materials within Lipman’s P4C work, fostering Environmental Education through Philosophical Dialogue, as well as Teacher training courses in order to make its operationalization possible within a European school context. At the turn of the 21rst century, ECO_Dialogue [DG XII (SOCRATES/Comenius 3.1)] emerged as resulted from a partnership involving three European countries, Catalonian, Portugal and Austria, under the coordination of Grup IREF.
