Abstract

The main objective of this research is to analyze the ontological status of animality in Hans Jonas' philosophy of life having the themes of vision and animal expressiveness as a backdrop. In this way, this research aims to highlight the importance that Hans Jonas' philosophical reflection occupies not only in the scope of the phenomenology of life and in the horizon of ethical challenges of technological civilization, but also the philosophical analysis of animal life.
