Abstract

This article aims to explain the political dimension of Saussure's "Langue" (language) and its role in setting up the Deleuzo-Guattarian concept of assemblage. Thus, it is essential to demonstrate how the creation of the concept of assemblage depends on components forged with Hjelmslev’s thought, which will be done in two movements: 1) tracing some notions of Hjelmslev’s linguistics, in their points of consensus and disagreement with Saussure; and 2) elucidating the incorporation of Hjelmslev’s linguistics in Deleuze and Guattari's philosophy, especially for the concept of assemblage.
