The editorial team of the Journal of Economic and Socio-Environmental Law, following the Committee on Publication Ethics – COPE Retraction guidelines,[1] communicates the retraction of the article:
CONTIPELLI, Ernani; MENEZES, Daniel Francisco Nagao. Risk analysis x precautionary principle: case analysis in nanotechnologies. Journal of Economic and Socio-Environmental Law, Curitiba, v. 13, no. 2, p. 387-406, May/Aug. 2022. DOI: 10.7213/revdireconsoc.v13i2.28990. Available at: <https://doi.org/10.7213/revdireconsoc.v13i2.28990>.
It was identified that the aforementioned text is a translation, from Spanish into Portuguese, of the entirety of the following original article, by Guillermo Foladori, previously published in the journal Trilogía Ciencia Tecnología Sociedad:
FOLADORI, Guillermo. Principio de precaución y análisis de riesgo regulatorio: dos fuerzas sociales encontradas y ejemplificadas en el caso de las nanotecnologías. Trilogía Ciencia Tecnología Sociedad, v. 14, n. 26, e2014, 2022. DOI: 10.22430/21457778.2014. Disponível em: <https://revistas.itm.edu.co/index.php/trilogia/article/view/2014>.
The authors Ernani Contipelli and Daniel Francisco Nagao Menezes informed the Journal of Economic and Socio-Environmental Law, through electronic communication, that they used the published article to prepare their research and that, by mistake, they sent a version of the referred article translated at the time of submission. The authors apologized for what happened to the author of the original article, Guillermo Foladori, and to the journals Trilogía Ciencia Tecnología Sociedad and Journal of Economic and Socio-Environmental Law and their respective editorial teams.
