Abstract

Abstract

The Working Alliance has been associated with success, results and client satisfaction in career counseling. Therefore, through this research, we seek to understand behaviors perceived by counselors that are related to working alliance training in career interventions. To this end, a descriptive study was carried out through semi-structured interviews with 12 psychologists. Thematic analysis was used to analyze the interviews, resulting in thematic categories and subcategories. It was possible to observe that there were nine main behaviors associated with the development of working alliance, ranging from active listening, empathy and respect for the client to the alignment of expectations between the counselor and the client.
