This article discusses the theory of multiple rationalities within the contemporary religious reason context, drawing from the works of philosophers Alasdair MacIntyre and Stanley Hauerwas. Challenging the modern conception of universal and abstract rationality, the text highlights the relevance of lived traditions and communal experiences as essential conditions for understanding and validating rationality. It is emphasized that religious rationality, particularly in Christianity, is legitimized by the community’s practical testimony and ethical-conceptual engagement rooted in tradition, enabling the overcoming of relativism and the establishment of criteria for epistemic discernment.
