Abstract

The world faces severe consequences resulting from the intensification of climate change effects and the disregard for natural public heritage. It is increasingly evident that the time to reverse this scenario, which will primarily impact future generations, is limited. This article reflects on the historical reasons that led humanity to distance itself from a close relationship with nature, revisiting the idea that the worship of a single, male God contributed to the abandonment of reverence for the Goddess. This cultural shift disrupted the perception of interdependence between humans and the natural world, which became subject to exploitation and degradation. Revisiting women's history and reconstructing it through a feminine lens could provide valuable insights into current gender relations and foster the development of new societal standards. Additionally, this approach could help restore a balanced and respectful relationship between humans and nature by promoting public policies aimed at achieving global sustainable, responsible, and conscious human development across generations. Reconstructing the past through a feminine perspective thus emerges as a significant alternative for redefining gender relations and humanity's connection with the natural world in the contemporary context.
