Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated the burden on working mothers who juggled family care with formal employment in 2020. This qualitative and idiographic study, conducted virtually, investigated the mental health impacts on these women in the healthcare sector. Challenges included facing the fear of infection, adapting to changes in family dynamics, and dealing with professional self-demand. Coping strategies involved family support, use of social networks, and faith. Results indicated impacts expressed through distress, fear, and anxiety, revealing psychological strain. The Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TCC) approach provided deep insights. The study highlights the complexity of challenges faced by multifaceted women during the pandemic, emphasizing the need for integrated approaches in promoting mental health.
