Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the main findings on the relationship between time perspective and human values through a systematic literature review. For this purpose, a search was conducted in the SciELO, PsycINFO, PubMed, Indexpsi, and Pepsic databases in November 2024, using descriptors to delimit the variables of time perspective and human values. The search identified 1865 articles, which were subjected to eligibility criteria, resulting in 8 studies selected for analysis. The reviewed research indicated a predominance of samples composed of university students and conducted in international contexts. Regarding the variables of human values, altruism stood out with a negative correlation with future orientation, while individualism showed a positive correlation. The results demonstrate the diverse interactions between time perspective and human values, as well as highlighting the limited number of papers approaching the variables and the need to further investigate the relations between time perspective and human values.
