Abstract

The Psychology Clinics-Schools provide various types of services, linking teaching and research to serving the population. The present study refers to the characterization of the children's clientele attended at a Psychology Clinic-School in the interior of Paraná from 2006 to 2012. A search was made for data in 290 medical records of children aged between 0 and 12 years. For the development of this research, the quantitative-descriptive methodology was used, which resulted in a predominant profile of the children served: male children, aged between 6 and 10 years, who were attending the 1st to 4th grades of Elementary School. The source of referral that predominated was the child's school context, and most of the complaints were related to learning problems, attention problems and anxiety/depression. It is concluded that, with the panorama obtained, it is possible to think about the design and implementation of intervention proposals aimed at the child population, improving and expanding the scope of care.
