Abstract

Characterized by a persistent pattern of inattention, hyperactivity and impulsivity, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) affects about 5 to 8% of children worldwide and prevails into adulthood. It is considered one of the most common mental disorders according to the World Health Organization. The aim of this work was to draw an overview of the Brazilian scientific publication on ADHD in adults, for which a search was carried out on the Scopus platform. The data retrieved show that scientific publication on the subject in the world has grown over the years and Brazil's position in the world ranking is in 11th place, with the Brazilian publication having a growing international projection. In addition to publication data, Brazil has active research groups on the subject with a strong relationship network among authors.
