Julgamentos de justiça e perdão no desenvolvimento moral

Resumo

Este estudo verificou estágios de raciocínio de justiça e perdão em adolescentes e adultos e perguntou se há uma ordem nesses dois tipos de raciocínio. 155 participantes, divididos em três faixas etárias: 10 a 14, 15 a 19 e 20 a 24 anos, responderam a dilemas morais de justiça e perdão. Os resultados mostraram o uso dominante do raciocínio de justiça para a manutenção da ordem social nos três grupos. No perdão, os participantes mais jovens mostraram o uso dominante do perdão para atender expectativas sociais, enquanto os mais velhos mostraram o uso dominante do perdão para atender expectativas institucionais. Um teste de Wilcoxon revelou uma relação significativa entre o raciocínio de justiça e perdão, indicando que o raciocínio de justiça precedeu o perdão no desenvolvimento. Os resultados trazem questões relacionadas à compreensão do desenvolvimento moral da justiça e do perdão e implicações para as normas sociomorais e educação moral
