Abstract

In Christianity, pilgrimage is an act of religious devotion, purely sacred, which consists of, in addition to a journey, a spiritual renewal, based on faith and divine love. From the departure of the apostles for the evangelization of Christianity to the “Church of departure”, proposed by the Holy Pope Francis, the hope of a new eon is being brought to life. The Holy Year of 2025, the year of the Jubilee of Hope, promoted by the Papal Bull: “Spes non confudit” invites everyone to resume the path of faith and hope in the love of Christ Jesus, to walk together becoming wanderers of good for and in favor of the common good. This study aims to contextualize a little about hope and its transience of faith-word that was widely praised in the pontificate of Pope Francis. We used a deductive methodology in qualitative bibliographic research. The work will be divided into four parts: the beginning of the Christian pilgrimage, faith-word and practice in hope, the outcome of the Second Vatican Council in the pontificate of Pope Francis and the pilgrimage of hope in the ordinary jubilee of 2025.
