Editorial policy
Preprints
Studies should be original and should not have already been published elsewhere in the peer-reviewed literature. Manuscripts that have been deposited in preprints (arXiv, bioRxiv, EmeRI, SciELO, etc.) or institutional repositories are accepted as long as informed in the Open Science Compliance Form, which must be submitted as a supplementary file at the time of submission.
Open access
Fisioterapia em Movimento journal follows the Open Access model, allowing unrestricted virtual access (including financial restrictions) to all scientific texts published by the journal.
Open access is the condition in which the copyright holder of an academic work grants usage rights to third parties using an open license (Creative Commons Attribution, CC-BY), allowing immediate free access to the work and authorizing any user to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, crawl them for indexing, pass them as data to software, or use them for any other lawful purpose.
Open science compliance
Following the principles of Open Science, which proposes guidelines for collaborative, shared and public scientific practice, the journal adopts the single blind peer review system. In this way, reviewers have access to the authorship of the articles they evaluate, while authors are aware of which associate editor was assigned to their article. Reviewers and authors, by mutual agreement, may request the publication of opinions of approved articles with the optional identification of reviewers, and the mutual disclosure of their identities in the evaluation process.
Still in line with Open Science, the journal requires the precise indication of the contribution of each of the authors in articles with multiple authorship and recommends the sharing of data, methods, instruments and other additional materials, preferably made available in open online repositories (Figshare, Mandeley Data, OSF, SciELO Data, Zenodo).
Adoption of software and use of Artificial Intelligence resources
The journal Fisioterapia em Movimento does not support the use of chatbots or similar programas. When necessary, artificial intelligence should be used as a tool to assist with grammatical corrections and/or the preparation and management of references.
Digital Preservation
This journal follows the standards defined in the SciELO Program's Digital Preservation Policy.
Publication fees
To cover publication costs, after acceptance, a publication fee of R$600 for Brazilians and U$125 for foreigners is charged per article accepted for publication.
