Abstract

The Social Teaching of the Church has as its principle the defense and promotion of the dignity of the human person. The foundation of the Church's Social Doctrine (CSD) is the Gospel itself. To guide its apostolic actions, the Church uses the person of Jesus of Nazareth as a reference. The theme of this article highlights the social aspect of education evidenced in the seven commitments of the Global Education Pact. Its objective is to contribute to the contextualized and critical training of evangelization agents to adopt a positive stance in relation to the care and promotion of human life and the entire planet. Of a bibliographic-documentary nature, the methodology of the article continues to observe the 7 commitments of the global educational pact that permeates the teaching of the social doctrine of the Catholic Church, highlighting the need for a change of mentality towards the throwaway culture and capitalism. It stands out from the conclusion that the Global Educational Pact is a proposal that needs to be accepted and applied in all educational spaces, as it has a universal format of language and actions. The Global Educational Pact brings to the CSD a vigor, a social interaction, influencing opinions and behaviors, enabling the inspiration of conversion in the fulfillment of the evangelizing mission.
