Abstract

COVID-19, an infectious disease from the coronavirus family, is responsible for the pandemic that has spread across all countries since late 2019. The objective of this study is to analyze the central implications of the lack of a final farewell between family members and patients who have passed away due to the coronavirus. This is a relevant and essential topic that is still being experienced by some individuals. For this purpose, a deductive method was used, with qualitative, bibliographic research applied through content analysis. Due to the scarcity of literature on a very nascent topic, recent news articles were used as an important source of information for the research. The proposed article sought a theological perspective, focused on the Christian faith, in order to find new meaning and purpose in people's lives. Additionally, a psychological perspective was included, directed towards care in the health area, contributing to the mental well-being of those involved.
