Abstract

This article seeks to analyze health and spirituality in the narrative approach of the wisdom tradition and its connection with the perspective of care in Pope Francis' thought. For this reason, we seek, on the one hand, an analysis of Ecclesiasticus 30,14-20, which brings the importance of a healthy body, through a healthy sapiential formation in the practice of the Law through the fear of the Lord. In this sense, health and spirituality go together in view of wisdom. On the other hand, the ambiguities of the technocratic paradigm to the detriment of health and spirituality in Pope Francis' view. The passage from Laudato Si’ about the technocratic paradigm and the passage from Fratelli Tutti about the deterioration of ethics are pointed out. Technology can help a person to reach more people in view of charity. However, it is necessary to discern about its use so as not to replace the person's life. The creative wisdom of God can enlighten human intelligence in view of a society committed to the experience of health and spirituality with a look of hope and witness through faith, in order to heal the wounds caused by inequality between people.
