Focus and Scope

Mission

The mission of Archives of Oral Research is to disseminate to world the progress in the field of Dental Sciences, helping scholars, researchers, and dental surgeons to translate their knowledge into a modern, innovative, and socially inclusive Dentistry.

Peer Review Process

Ethics
- Authorship
All articles submitted must have been read and approved by all authors. In addition, all authors must agree with the submission of the article. There is no limit for the number of authors. However, in certain cases, the Editor reserves the right to request a statement regarding the individual contribution of each author. 

- Ethics Committee
Articles containing the results of studies involving human beings or animals must include the number of the protocol and a brief reference to the approval of the study by a local Ethics Committee. Clinical cases must contain a brief reference to the consent granted by the patient in a section entitled Informed Consent, included immediately after the Conclusion of an article. A copy of the patient's informed consent must be submitted upon the submission of the article. If any of the photos submitted shows the eyes of the patient and/or an informed consent has not been provided, Editora Champagnat will reserve the right to cancel the publication of the article.
Archives of Oral Research adopts the CONSORT (Consolidated Standards of Reporting Trials) (www.consort-statement.org), a set of recommendations for the publication of randomized controlled studies. Only clinical studies which methodology has been registered will be accepted for publication. The registration number must be included at the end of the Summary, and in the section Materials and Methods. Open Access Policy

This magazine offers free immediate access to its content, following the principle that making scientific knowledge available to the public at no cost results in an increased democratization of knowledge worldwide.

Journal History

Archives of Oral Research is an open-access and peer review (blind review) scientific journal published on a four-monthly basis in printed format and online by the Post-Graduation Program in Dentistry of the Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná (PUCPR). Archives of Oral Research publishes basic and clinical researches, in addition to studies in education and epidemiology, of all subjects associated with Dentistry in the form of original scientific articles. Reviews, case reports, and letters to the editor will be only published upon invitation. Opinions issued by the authors of the articles are their sole responsibility, as well as the statements that scientific researches involving living beings were analyzed and approved by a research ethics committee. The abbreviated title of the magazine is Arch Oral Res. and must be used in bibliographies, references, footnotes, and bibliographic references.
