Resumo

This research aims to evaluate elements involved in the transition of children with intellectual disabilities between Early Childhood Education and Elementary School. It is based on the concepts of multireferentiality and complexity of Arduino (1998) and Coulon (1998), as well as on reflective and processual assessment (Esteban; 2014). Methodologically, it adopts qualitative assumptions and bibliographic research (Gil, 2002; Michels, 2009) to understand how academic productions in the field of Special Education have been debating assessment and the transition between stages of education. To this end, it selects: a) theses and dissertations as a discursive genre, available in the Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (BDTD) and the website of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (Capes); b) studies from 2008 onwards, with the publication of the National Policy on Special Education from an Inclusive Perspective; c) the aforementioned stages of education; d) research related to intellectual disability. As a result, the study pointed to the following aspects to be evaluated: a) identification of student needs; b) school planning; c) teaching and learning processes; d) large-scale assessment and Special Education. These elements are indicated in the literature as necessary to consider the transition of children from one stage to another with an inclusive approach.
